The annual well-woman exam is the cornerstone of preventative medicine in all women's lives. It includes a detailed history and physical exam and will address lifestyle concerns such as appropriate exercise and diet, as well as cancer screening. Throughout a woman's life the topics covered and
screenings recommended will change.

Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is a medication which contains female hormones in order to replace the ones the body no longer makes after menopause. These hormones are called estrogen and progesterone. They are released from the ovaries and influence changes in the body’s cycle which controls periods, moods and may
contribute to a sense of wellbeing and healthiness. Dr Bliss will review the risk-benefit ratio of hormone replacement of each patient in order to provide the safest balance for them.

A Colposcopy is an in-office procedure to evaluate your cervix after you've had an abnormal Pap smear or persistent high-risk HPV. The procedure is done using a magnifying scope that allows your physician to carefully visualize the
cervix and identify specific areas of concern. From there, we'll take a small biopsy sample from the affected areas and send your sample for further testing to determine the true health of your
cervical cells. If high grade abnormalities are found, Dr Bliss may recommend a LEEP, or an excision of a portion of the cervix where the abnormal cells are found. Both a colposcopy and a LEEP can be done by Dr Bliss in the comfort of her office.

Dr Bliss will perform a thorough history and exam to identify the most likely cause of abnormal bleeding. The evaluation may possibly include a pelvic ultrasound, Endosee hysteroscopy, or an endometrial biopsy depending on the specifics of your bleeding pattern. After reviewing the results of her work-up, Dr Bliss will make a treatment plan to get your quality of life back to the highest level possible.

Dr Bliss will review your family
planning goals and help you decide which form of contraception is safest and most effective for you. Depending on your preferences this may include placement of a long-acting contraceptive device such as the intrauterine contraceptive device (IUD)or Nexplanon. Dr Bliss is happy to manage long-acting contraceptive devices
placed by other physicians.

Vulvar dermatitis is a common issue that often goes undiagnosed or misdiagnosed in many women.  Dr Bliss has extensive training in vulvar skin disorders and can easily diagnose and manage any concerns you may have.  She also offers cutting edge treatments for skin disorders such as lichen sclerosus.
